Patrick Vokaty

Patrick Vokaty is an Associate at Nurture with a strong background in design and technical architecture, in new construction and renovation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at The Ohio State University and Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Patrick has cultivated an expertise in medical and lab planning for healthcare facilities, public-facing interiors, and exterior design. Patrick has additional experience in justice, civic, education, and corporate interiors and is consistently striving to elevate both his projects and Nurture’s contributions to the built environment beyond his own work.  

Patrick is a WELL Accredited Professional whose work spans projects of varying scales, all centered on advancing health and human-centered performance. Among his notable project experience, Patrick contributed to the interior design of a private retirement residence at the Yannell Conservation Habitat on the shores of Lake Michigan, targeting full Living Building Challenge and Phius-Zero certification. He also played a key role on The Pavilion at the University of Michigan, a $920 million, 264-bed hospital featuring a leading-edge neurosciences center, cardiovascular and thoracic specialty services, and advanced surgical and interventional suites. Additionally, Patrick was involved in the development of Franciscan Alliance Crown Point Hospital, a $200 million, seven-story, 165-bed facility serving as the cornerstone of a new campus with emergency, surgical, ICU, and imaging services.   

Committed to advancing health, equity, and collaboration, Patrick actively engages in mentorship and volunteer initiatives. Most recently, he participated in the AIA Chicago Bridge Mentorship Program and AIA WING, further strengthening his dedication to professional development and community impact.
